My Favorite Romance: The Guys

So we've all had to do it. Drag our husbands into the living room and duct-tape them to the couch so they'll watch Leap Year with us. (Love that show . . .) And of course there's the greatest "guy" scene from Sleepless in Seattle:

Which I think sums up what "The Guys" think about chick-flicks. But I persisted, and asked anyway.

Husband: "That scene in Cars 2 . . . is it? Where McQueen and Sally go out to eat and Mater is their waiter."

Father: "In Bourne Identity, when Bourne says to Marie, 'How can I forget you? You're the only person I know.'" {Well you have to admit, that is pretty romantic . . . for an action movie.}

Brother #1 {age 27} (Who came up with an impressive answer, of course, one that made me actually tear-up a little, but still in an action movie. :D) "I know it's a long clip, but It's my favorite because no words had to be said. You can see the love that both men had for the girl by their actions."

Brother #2 {Age 25}: "I can't say I really have a favorite romance scene, but the cave scene in The Hulk is pretty good."

Brother #3 {Age 22}: "When Spiderman kisses Mary Jane upside down."

Brother #4 {Age 11}: *snicker* "Uh . . . When Romeo and Juliet break up." {LOL, that's an 11 year-old for you!}

Thanks guys! :D

  1. Oh, my romantic husband ;) What's great is that he immediately knew this was his favorite scene. I seriously love all these guys, and all their fantastic answers!

About Me!

I've been writing since I was old enough to grasp a crayon--my grandma even has an early copy of a "book" I made her. I have a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wyoming and will (hopefully) soon be starting a graduate program in English. When I'm not breaking up impromptu UFC fights in the living room or losing miserably to my boys at Uno, I'm ... well, writing or editing, of course! I'm married to my best friend, and we have three rambunctious but simply amazing little boys.
