I was thinking about the goal I made last year, which was to do everything I could to be on the road to getting published. I sort of kept that goal. Some things got in the way.
* I focused most of my querying attention on my YA Superhero novel. I did do a lot of stuff with it. Queries, Contests, etc. I only got two requests. And from every *How I Got My Agent* story that I've ever read, the writer was getting requests and still getting rejected. I was just getting rejected. So I decided to put it aside and think about it. I have decided to completely rewrite it. I'm confident it will be better for it.
*I had a baby. Which is the end all, be all excuse. :)
BUT I did get published. I published myself, anyway. You might have heard of it around here? My Regency era novella, A CONTEMPTIBLE AFFECTION.
So this year I don't have so much in the way of goals as I do in plans.
*Get Baby Boy to sleep in his crib so I can write more. ;)
*I'm attending Storymakers in May and plan to have my LDS contemporary romance at least pitch ready.
*I'm working on another historical romance novella that I'm really excited to release.
*Rewrite my Superhero book and shove it back into the world of queries.

About Me!
I've been writing since I was old enough to grasp a crayon--my grandma even has an early copy of a "book" I made her. I have a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wyoming and will (hopefully) soon be starting a graduate program in English. When I'm not breaking up impromptu UFC fights in the living room or losing miserably to my boys at Uno, I'm ... well, writing or editing, of course! I'm married to my best friend, and we have three rambunctious but simply amazing little boys.
