  1. Hello from a new follower! I wish I was doing the Blog Hop! Looks so fun. I've had so many others going on that I decided not to do it on my blog, but hop to other blogs to see what they're sharing! :) Glad I found yours!

  2. Hi there! I want to enter!

I have written historical fiction, romantic suspense, cozy mystery, and cookbooks. My current WIP is a young adult contemporary called Turning Pages. My one sentence pitch:

When Addie loses her dream job to a stuck-up new guy intent on making her life miserable, it's a choice between giving up and fighting to the finish in this modern nod to Pride and Prejudice.

  3. I'm very involved in the disabilities community. My first book was published last May - (dis)Abilities and the Gospel. I'm currently finishing up my book, Sweet Confections - a contemporary sweet romance.

    Here's the elevator pitch:

Combine one sassy baker, one sexy hockey player, and one obsessed stalker. Mix well. Then pour into a hot pan. Sprinkle on some romance. Bake on high heat for 86,000 words. Sweet Confections combines the sassiness of Rachel Gibson with the closed bedroom door approach of Kristen Higgins.

On the way to Promised Land, one of the Jaredite barges takes an unexpected detour, and discovers a dangerous land that may also be a Promised Land, but for different reasons.

  8. Hi!
I'm not an author - unfortunatelly I don't have enough talent to be one :P -, but I'd like to say something about myself. My real name is Eva but I don't really like it so I always use some nickname, like Vojalyn or Mano :) And I'm a bookaholic and I spend every minute of my free time on reading :) I know it sounds fanatic and crazy but I like getting away from it all, you know :) So if I won, I would spend it all on books, that's for sure :)
I'm a new follower of your blog as mikki-mano :)

Thanks again for the chance to win,

  10. Hello!

My name is Lisa. I'm following your blog via Google Reader. :) I write YA fiction, mainly speculative stuff, but some contemporary.

Right now my WIP is called Jethro. Here's my pitch, which needs to be trimmed down:

Jethro, Arizona is supposedly too small to have secrets, but when one of Jethro’s own moves back into town, her very presence sets off a chain of events that send her own and five other Jethro High teens’ lives reeling into a suddenly darker unknown.

  11. 1. I am a follower of your blog
    2. Joyce DiPastena
Types of things I write: medieval romances
Name of my current wip: Acelet's story (I don't know my titles until I've usually finished the final draft, so I name them by the main character in the interim)
I'm not close enough to being finished to have a pitch. How about: Young Acelet de Cary's decision to become a troubadour instead of a knight thrusts him into an unexpected tangle of intrigue that could rock the kingdom of England to its very roots.

    1. I am already your follower.
    2. Marsha Ward, I usually write Western novels set in the post-American Civil War era, my current WIP is Spinster's Folly, and here's my pitch:

Marie Owen discovers she's jumped from the frying pan into the fire as, fleeing an unsuitable betrothal, she runs away with a charming stranger who promises her the sun, the moon, and the stars.

  18. Hi! I'm new and excited to be here.

I write fiction. YA mostly, but occasionally MG and Adult genres too. While Flash Fiction is my new love, I'm a novelist. Currently I'm writing Urban Fantasy, but have written Historical Fantasy, Romance, Paranormal, High Fantasy, Horror, Adventure, and Sci-fi.

My current WIP is Faux Pas, and has been requested by a couple literary agents. *jumping up and down* Yay!

The pitch: Socially inept Faux only wanted a boyfriend, until she burst into flame and initiated the apocalypse. Now all she wants is to go home.

I usually write YA fantasy and dystopian. My current work in progress doesn't have an real title yet, I just keep calling it The Rebels. I'm still working on where its going, so I haven't come up with a pitch yet.

  22. I can't figure out how to follow. The follower box is empty. :( I'll check back to see if it sorts itself out.

I write LDS chick lit but my current WIP is a national market YA contemporary. It's called Chameleon and it's about a girl who is trying to win her a spot in the design school of her dreams by piecing a fashion collection together from her crazy great-aunt's hoard.

About Me!

I've been writing since I was old enough to grasp a crayon--my grandma even has an early copy of a "book" I made her. I have a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wyoming and will (hopefully) soon be starting a graduate program in English. When I'm not breaking up impromptu UFC fights in the living room or losing miserably to my boys at Uno, I'm ... well, writing or editing, of course! I'm married to my best friend, and we have three rambunctious but simply amazing little boys.
