When twenty-four-year-old Tiffany escapes her sister Kammy's too wild Cancun bachelorette party, she finds herself in a bar with the unwanted attention of a gorgeous local named Luke. Luke may be charming but Tiffany is leaving in two days and doesn't need any complications. But complications are exactly what she gets when the cops show up to raid Kammy's party. Review: First off, location. Who doesn't love a nice summer romance set in Cancun? Especially if you live in Wyoming and it's the middle of winter... Luke is a fun hero who charges in and saves the day. He's definitely the kind of guy I can dig. I liked Tiffany for the most part, just got a bit frustrated with the enabling way she treats her sister. She definitely needs Luke to give her a bit of spine when it comes to Kammy. As usual, I loved the quick way this novella developed and the ending it truly romantic.

Review: I loved the way Ms. Fred stayed true to the characters from the previous novel. With Kammy as the main character, many authors would go the route to make her a lot more likable. While seeing Kammy's side of things makes me a bit more sympathetic, she's still Kammy and it takes the course of the novella for her to grow and understand he erring ways. I didn't like Luke as much in this one. Understandable that we'd see his tough side in dealing with Kammy -- the side I laud in my review above! -- it comes off as harsh, and he swings back and forth. Being understanding but firm to being rude. Tiffany has more of a spine, but again, it mostly comes from her now husband, Luke. As far as heroes, I still rank Luke over Enrique -- he just appeals to me more. A matter of opinion, that's all.
