Review: EVERNEATH by Brodi Ashton

This book has been on my TBR list forever! And when the new baby came along and I stumbled into LOTS of reading time, I just broke down and bought it for my Kindle (it's easier to hold and turn pages with one hand ...)

Rating: **** (Really Liked It)

The Pros: So unique. It's the first Greek mythology retelling I've read since Percy Jackson (which I loved). I loved how Ms. Ashton made me hate Cole, made me frustrated with both Nikki and Jack. I liked the way she let the reader discover all the facets of the story. It flowed so seamlessly and didn't leave me frustrated or questioning things.

The Cons: I rated this a four-star (instead of a five star) because I just felt so depressed during most of it, which is not really my thing in books. It felt so hopeless through most of the book.

He Said/She Said: This quote just broke my heart, proving how much this book got to me and how emotionally involved it had me: Jack, "I just want to know you again. Please. Can I know you again?"
