Dear NAME,
I would like to submit to you my 52,000 word YA
novel MY BEST FRIEND IS A SUPERHERO.
If
seventeen-year-old Bek Black is right about Adam Axley being a superhero,
falling in love with the notorious player means putting more than her heart on
the line.
When Bek transfers to prestigious (read: snobby)
Lincoln Academy, she figures the hardest part will be the curriculum. And maybe
making new friends. She doesn’t expect to get drugged at Homecoming or face frequent
robot attacks. Of course not every day is fraught with danger. Some days Bek
accidentally falls in love with Adam—the guy that’s just always been around—and
then somehow ends up dating his brother, Eli. The only explanation for Adam’s
regular disappearances (and totally ridiculous excuses) seems to be that he’s
Pride City’s famous crime fighter, The Fox. When a robot destroys Lincoln
Academy and the students have to attend school across town at rival Whitson
High School, Bek has to figure out exactly what her feelings for Adam mean.
Especially since he seems to like her former best friend Amber. So okay. She’s so over Adam anyway. She’s dating his
brother.
But if Adam really is The Fox, Bek has to choose:
her heart or his secret.
I am the wife of a
real life superhero (shhh!) and mother of two future super villains. If you’d
like to consider MY BEST FRIEND IS A SUPERHERO, I’d be happy to forward the
manuscript to you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
