A couple days ago, my writer friend Rebecca emailed me about participating in some March Madness stuff on her blog. The more I thought about it, the more I thought about how much I love basketball, and I love the March Madness brackets and all the hype and craziness that comes with 64 teams competing and an underdog getting to the Elite Eight and all that AWESOMENESS. And I thought, that would be fun to do with books.
So I bring to you the March Cover Madness bracket.
I've rounded up some seriously heavy hitters, 16 to be exact, and they're going to go head-to-head with their covers to compete for the title of Champion. Just check this out:
Each week in March, I'll feature the match-ups here on the blog! You'll come and vote for the cover you like best. You'll tell your friends and your family, since you'll want your favorite covers to advance! The covers with the most votes in each match-up will move on to the next round until finally, on March 25, we'll feature the championship matchup and the vote for the title of March Cover Madness Champion.
Some quick rules:
1) The voting will be based on the covers, not the content of the books themselves.
2) Voting for each matchup will stay open until the end of that round (or week). For example, all voting for the first round will stay open until midnight (MST) on Saturday, March 5th.
3) During the first round of play, each blog post will feature TWO matchups. Make sure you vote for both!
BUT WAIT. There's another way for YOU, the fans, to get involved. You can fill out the above bracket with your picks for who you think the winners will be and email them to me (raneesclark (at) yahoo (dot) com) by midnight (MST) February 29th. The person who makes the most correct picks will win a $15 Amazon gift certificate!
(Yes. I know you don't know WHICH covers these authors will use! That's the fun of it. I'll give you a hint. I'm using the DOUBLE PLAY cover. Those red heels are going to win it all, baby!)
